Introduction
The Segments tab allows you to Generate a population of individuals from the database using a "drag-and-drop" editor.
Create a segment
1. Click Create a segment from the Segments tab
2. Fill out the segment creation form by entering:
- the group
- the segment name (lsegment names must be unique)
- a description (optional)
- contact source: select 'Database'. This option is displayed only if you also have access to 'Contact list' source segments.
- the join key: allows you to join the various relevant tables via a common field
- the activation platform
3. Build the segment from the segment editor:
4. Estimate the size of this audience across the main contact channels:
5. Add personalization fields to the segment:
6. Generate a sample of the actual cases in the segment:
It is not possible to extract all contacts from a segment.
7. Share the segment with the activation platform selected during creation:
Conclusion
The segment is then available and can be used in CRM or media campaigns.
