Introduction
Once the segment has been calculated, the segment results page is displayed with the volumes for the population defined by the segment.
Segment simulation
The results page summarises the information collected during the calculation of the segment simulation.
There is a KPI for each join key configured in the NMP.
For each KPI, there is
- the distinct volume of keys (e.g. volume of email addresses, volume of customer IDs, etc.) meeting the segment criteria, derived from the simulation
- the percentage of this volume in relation to the total
Types of simulation
There are 2 types of simulation:
- Estimate: provides a quick estimate of volumes in its segment. This calculation is based on a sample of the database.
- Real calculation: provides precise volumes for each compatible join key. This calculation is based on the entire database.
By default, when you arrive on the results page, the volumes displayed correspond to the estimate.
Some criteria, which may have a very large number of values, do not allow an estimate to be made, and can be identified by this logo. For these segments, it is not possible to have a volume for the cookie key.
Launch a real calculation
You can run or restart a real calculation using the calculate button.
The date of the last calculation is displayed in the orange box.
