Introduction
It is possible to add sending parameters to a journey message at the "Sending parameters" tab. These parameters enable :
control routing speed;
automatically pause mailings over one or more defined periods;
add priority recipients to the mailing.
Sending settings for a journey message
Once the content has been previewed and an test is sent, it is possible to go to the "Sending parameters" tab where several optional parameters can be configured :
Routing time (optional): if the value is left blank, sending is performed at a pre-configured speed by default (generally 50,000 emails per hour, but can evolve at your request).
Routing interruption period(s) (optional): add one or more time intervals when mailings are paused (e.g. between 9pm and 8am). If the sending node is triggered at the time of an interruption period, journey execution will continue but the sending triggered by this node will be paused.
Adding VIPs (optional): email addresses or telephone numbers to be entered. These recipients will receive the communication first during routing.
Clicking on Validate message, an insert appears with a reminder of the various campaign parameters.
This insert allows you to:
check that everything is consistent;
confirm that the checks have been carried out by ticking the boxes;
validate the message by clicking on Validate.
A message retains the same routing parameters (sending speed, interruption periods and VIP addresses) even when used in several nodes of a journey.
Conclusion
The "Sending parameters" tab enriches the sending possibilities at journey level. The parameters entered when creating the message can be edited at any time.
