Introduction
Before launching the first execution of a Journey, a test must be launched to ensure the correct configuration of each step and consistency between the input population and the customization of the various contents.
Testing a journey
From within a Journey edit, the "test journey" button allows you to launch an execution from the first stage of the Journey.
Each node type will perform all the actions required to validate the Journey's correct construction:
- Targeting nodes will ensure that the target has been correctly made available from Queryly
- Activation nodes will ensure consistency between target and message content
- Decision nodes will adapt their behavior to facilitate testing :
- Waiting stages will go straight to the next step
- separation steps based on a field will ensure that the field is present .
- separation steps according to behavior will randomly separate the population .
If a step encounters an error during execution, details and a resolution guide and available from the execution tab.
Testing a specific step of a journey
It is possible to test a specific node of a Journey by pressing the "execution node" button from its settings.
The Journey will execute all the steps leading to this node to ensure that it is working properly.
This test must necessarily be completed by testing a Journey as specified above before being activated.
Conclusion
Once Journey has been tested from start to finish, it's now possible to activate Journey so that the first executions can begin.
