Introduction
The recurrence of a journey is defined within the Trigger node. The recurrence definition is used to indicate the frequency with which the journey is executed.
Parameterization of the Trigger node
The Trigger node is natively placed in the first step of the journey.
Two parameters are available for setting this node:
- Execution start date (mandatory): allows you to choose a date and time from which the node will be active. This date must be in the future.
The time set in the "Execution start date" field will determine when the journey will be executed .
-
Trigger frequency: allows you to choose the recurrence among the following possibilities
- Only once
- Every hour
- Every day
-
Weekly, the journey will start an execution every day of the selected week.
- Send days, selection of the day(s) of the week for which the journey will begin an execution
- Monthly (depending on the day number), the journey will start an execution once a month, on the day number indicated.
- Monthly (depending on the day of the week), the journey will begin an execution once a month, depending on the day of the week and its order of arrival in the month (first, second, third, etc.)
- The last day of the month
- Public holiday exclusion, if selected, the journey will not start execution for the selected country's public holidays.
Conclusion
The Trigger node is used to define the frequency at which the journey should run. the various following nodes will run in turn.
