Introduction
In between two stages of the journey, a wait allows time for recipients to react to the message received, purchase a product, or send them different messages at different times.
Parameterization of the Hold node
The Hold node is part of the decision category and allows you to define a duration between the end of the previous node and the start of the next.
The duration parameter can take two temporalities:
- In days: This allows you to space out two communications that complement each other, or wait for reactions to the first communication before acting accordingly.
- On the hour: This is used to re-launch communications concerning an event taking place during the day.
Optional options

Automatically wait 1 extra day in the case of a Sunday or Public Holiday (in France).
- Exclude Saturday too: Adds Saturday to the list of non-compatible days for a Journey restart (in addition to Sunday or Bank Holiday)
- Resume time: Allows you to choose the exact time at which to resume the Journey on the last waiting D-day. Only available if waiting time is in days.
During the journey test, this Hold node moves on to the next step without applying the wait time.
