Introduction
Sending a message within a journey enables communications to a defined population. Two channels are available: email and SMS. This is possible by adding one of the following nodes present in the Channel category:
- Send an email
- Send an SMS
Parameterization of the Send email node
Once the Send email node has been added, several parameters need to be filled in
- Email to send: allows you to select the message to be broadcast from the available messages
- Random duplication on the Email field: removes duplicate email addresses if the population contains the same email address several times and keeps only one (random selection)
- Test email addresses: allows you to specify the email addresses that will receive the message when testing the journey
- Personalization update: refreshes the personalization data of the population that will receive the message
- Show advanced settings:
- Apply a function:
- Exclude optouts and non-optins: allows you to keep only people who have given their consent to receive messages (optins)
- Apply a function:
Send SMS node settings
Once the Send SMS node has been added, several parameters need to be filled in
- Send SMS : allows you to select the message to be broadcast from the available messages
- Random duplication on fieldmobile: allows duplicate phone numbers to be removed if the population contains the same phone number several times, to keep just one (random selection)
- Test phone number: allows you to specify the phone numbers that will receive the message during the journey test : The phone number must be entered in the format +336XXXXXXXX.
- Personalization update: refreshes the personalization data of the population that will receive the message.
