Introduction
From the General tab in Sendingly's settings, you can create, edit, duplicate, or delete lists and make them available to the desired groups.
There are two different types of lists:
- Recipient Lists: Use this to send campaign proofs to test recipients. This list can be selected during the proof-sending step.
- VIP Lists: VIP addresses are the recipients who should receive the campaign first; they will be placed at the top of the delivery queue when the campaign is actually sent. VIP lists can be selected during the campaign setup stage. Contacts on the list will receive a random sample from the target audience selected for the mailing. It is currently possible to add up to 130 VIP addresses to a VIP list.
Please note that the statistics generated by these mailings are isolated by default and are not included in campaign reports.
To manage lists, you must use two different interfaces:
- The client settings
- The interface for group settings
Actions in client settings
The methods for creating, editing, duplicating, and deleting lists are the same for all list types.
Phone numbers must begin with their international country code preceded by a "+".
To enter multiple recipients (email addresses or phone numbers), press "Enter" between each recipient (email or number).
Create a list
The Create a list button allows you to create a new list.
Several settings need to be configured:
- List Name
- Recipient type (Mobile, Email, or push)
- Recipients (email addresses or mobile numbers) that will be included in the list
- Groups that will have access to this list
Edit a list
To the right of each configured list entry, there is a clickable icon that allows you to edit the list.
The following information can be edited:
- List Name
- The recipients (email addresses or cell phone numbers) who will be on the list
- Groups that have access to this list
The following information cannot be edited:
- Recipient type (Mobile, Email, or push)
Duplicate a list
To the right of each configured list entry, there is a clickable icon that allows you to duplicate the list.
When duplicating, you can modify the following:
- List Name
- Recipients (email addresses or cell phone numbers) that will be included in the list
- Groups with access to this list
The following cannot be edited:
- The recipient type (Mobile, Email, or Push)
Delete a list
To the right of each configured list entry, there is a clickable icon that allows you to delete the list.
Deleting a list removes it from the groups where it is enabled.
Actions in group settings
The methods for enabling and deleting lists are the same for all list types.
Enable a list
The Add a List button allows you to enable a list in your group.
To enable a list, select the list’s name.
View a list’s recipients
To the right of each configured list entry, there is a clickable icon that allows you to view the recipients of the group list without being able to edit them. To edit them, you must return to the client interface.
For VIP recipient lists, you can also choose whether or not to enable an option that pre-fills the VIP recipient field with this list when creating a campaign.
Disable a list
To the right of each configured list entry, there is a clickable icon that allows you to disable the list from the group.
Conclusion
Once the recipient lists and VIP lists are configured, you’ll be able to select them when setting up campaigns.
Duplicate removal occurs if the same email address is detected in both the VIP list and the target audience.
The eligible entry in the target list is retained and converted to VIP status, which means that its interactions (and unsubscribes) are not included in the statistics.
