Introduction
A/B Testing enables you to maintain the best results between mailings based on a single criterion at a time, from among :
- Email subject
- Email sender
- Email content
On the Schedule tab, it is possible to specify a sending speed and interruption periods.
This article explains how these parameters are applied when sending with A/B Test.
Sending speed
Speed is applied to each version (A/B and generalization)
For example, a campaign is configured to send 50,000 emails/hour out of a total volume of 120,000 emails:
- Version A with 10,000 emails will go off in 12 minutes (50,000 emails/hour)
- Version B with 10,000 emails sent in 12 minutes (50,000 emails/hour)
- Generalization with 100,000 emails will go live in 2 hours (50,000 emails/hour)
Smoothing and interruption periods
If smoothing and/or interruption periods are defined when programming the campaign, then they will be applied to all versions (A/B and generalization).
Conclusion
Once these parameters have been entered on the Schedule tab, the campaign can be scheduled for dispatch.
