Introduction
The integration of the WhatsApp channel into the Numberly Martech Platform is designed to meet service-related and operational communication needs. To ensure optimal deliverability rates and compliance with Meta’s policies, the platform supports a specific set of Meta categories, formats, and features.
Scope of Meta Categories
The NMP is optimized for sending transactional and service messages. Category management is structured as follows:
-
Supported categories:
Utility: order confirmations, shipping tracking, appointment notifications, or account updates.
Authentication: sending one-time passwords (OTP) and two-factor authentication (2FA).
-
Category not available:
Marketing: Promotional or advertising messages are not currently supported on the platform.
Content Formats and Customization
To ensure optimal rendering on mobile devices, the NMP manages all structural elements of the Meta service templates:
-
Supported components:
Headers: text, image, document, or video.
Body text (Body): rich text incorporating dynamic personalization variables.
Footer: short informational text.
Action buttons (Buttons): Quick Reply buttons (Quick Replies) and call-to-action buttons (Call-to-Action to a web link or phone number).
-
Customization rules and restrictions:
Name-based fields only: Dynamic personalization variables must use explicit names (e.g.,
{{firstname}},{{order_id}},{{date_rdv}}). Variables consisting solely of numbers (e.g.,{{1}},{{2}}) are not permitted on the platform except for authentication content.WhatsApp Flows: Complex interactive forms within the app are not currently available.
Synchronization of Meta Templates
All templates created and approved directly in your Meta Business Manager account are automatically synchronized to the WhatsApp content list in Sendingly. Only templates approved by Meta and compliant with the platform’s criteria (categories Utility or Authentication, personalized variables) will be available when creating your messages.
