Context
Journey is a tool for creating multi-stage campaigns based on conditions and triggers.
In some use cases it's necessary to associate each mailing with a fixed piece of data, for which a new "Additional fields" parameter is now available in the advanced settings of mailing nodes.
Add one or more fixed-value fields
You can add one or more fixed-value fields to each mailing. These fields are used to associate a specific data item with a particular journey dispatch. The value remains identical for all individuals targeted during the mailing.
For example, a fixed code or identifier can be added to mark a particular mailing in the journey. This field is automatically integrated into the target table and can be used for further data processing (e.g. integration into return dataflows).
This field can also be used in the content to customize it according to the stage of the journey.
Points of attention:
These fields are only available at the sending node level in which they were created. They are associated with this particular step and cannot be retrieved in the rest of the journey.
Additional fields will not be visible in the export of node data or its preview.
