Introduction
To add contacts to a list, simply select the list from the Contact lists pane.
It is then possible to browse all the contacts present in the list and perform actions on that same list using the Actions on the list option.
Add a single contact
To add a contact to a list, select Actions on the list, then Add a single contact.
A form opens with all the columns in the initialization file. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk.
The primary key fields are entered initially to check the existence of the contact in the list:
- If the contact already exists, it is possible to edit it;
- If the contact does not exist in the list, it is possible to create it.
If the list contains a "MOBILE" contact field, it is necessary to define the country of origin of the telephone number in the "COUNTRY_CODE" field. If only one country of origin was defined when the list was initialised, the "COUNTRY_CODE" field is filled in by default.
If an import is already in progress for this list, it is necessary to wait until it has been finalised before adding a contact.
Import contacts
It is also possible to update a static list by loading a file.
Beware, the file must respect the presence and order of the columns in the initialization file.
If an import is already in progress for this list, it is necessary to wait until it has been finalised before launching a new one.
When importing contacts, it is necessary to choose the type of import required to update the list. For more information on this subject, see the following articles:
Conclusion
Importing contacts and adding them individually to a list is possible, as long as you follow the required formats and fill in the mandatory fields for successful integration. It allows a list to be updated, without the need to recreate it.
