Preview and test

The preview shows how your content will look on desktop and mobile.

You can test how your content will appear by emailing it to one or more recipients: this is the proof. You can select or enter the recipients’ email addresses directly to send the message, and you can save the list of recipientsthat you created.

Please note that when sending the test email from Factorly:

• the mirror link and the unsubscribe link are not active; they will be activated at the time of delivery once the consent information is available
• the sending email address is a generic address, different from the sender used when the campaign was created.
• The email subject line is generated from the content name

All personalization data can be tested when previewing and sending a test email. The interface allows you to select or enter test data to get a preview and offers the option to save the test case for this content.

Note: ASCII control characters are automatically removed.

Note: For more complex scenarios involving advanced customization, you can also test the content in JSON to verify the values in the exact same format as the API call. The JSON option can help you easily identify certain errors in the API call.

List of comments

The list of comments includes all comments created by various contributors for a piece of content. When you click this button, the comments appear on the content.

You can only see comments on content you are collaborating on. Only unresolved comments are listed. 

To add a comment to a piece of content, right-click on the content you want to edit and select "Add a comment."

Note: this option is not available for content created with the Drag & Drop editor.

Litmus

Litmus is a tool external to the platform. It allows you to verify that content displays correctly across various email services (multiple versions and platforms).

Note: You must subscribe to the Litmus service through Litmus to use this feature.

Share content

Allows you to share the content:

• The content is available via a link;
• The link is accessible to anyone who receives the shared URL;
• You can choose which view to display first (mobile or desktop);
• Make links in the content clickable;
• Custom cases can be shared via the share link.

Content Settings

Allows you to associate one or more Labels to the content, as well as a submission deadline.

Options

• Duplicate: A copy of all your content is created in the library;
• Download: Download content in HTML format;
• Delete: Permanently deletes your content from the library.

Staff

You can add or remove contributors for the content. Collaborators must belong to the group associated with the content.

This option makes it easier to filter content by contributor; it does not grant any specific rights to edit the content.
