Introduction
Once the target audience is defined, Sendingly provides a set of tools to validate the campaign’s recipient list.
Define Your Targeting File
Once your targeting criteria are selected, a simulation of the target audience runs to estimate the number of individuals in the database who will be reached by the campaign.
The result of this estimate is displayed on the targeting page to allow you to validate the targeting step.
- Estimated eligible volume: Number of contacts matching the targeting definition
- Details by mailing list (email channel only): Number of contacts per mailing segment. Each segment is contacted by a different sender to ensure a good reputation for active recipients.
- Drop-off: Table detailing the targeting steps.
In the case of a target file, invalid addresses or numbers (such as those containing special characters) are removed from the list.
In the case of configured targeting, the volumes resulting from each filter are detailed.
The volumes are detailed there following these checks:
- Number of individuals who opted in to the selected consent
- Number of contactable individuals (excluding blacklisted, complaints, and spam traps)
- Targeting parameters: Parameters defined for a configured target
Special case: For campaigns created via API, there is no pre-calculation of the target. The target simulation step is skipped, and there is no attrition table.
Conclusion
All of these elements allow for validation of the recipient list targeted by the campaign currently being prepared.
