Introduction
The OADC (Originator Address Code) is a feature that allows you to customize the sender of SMS messages, thereby offering a more targeted approach to communication.
The OADC corresponds to the sender name that will appear when the SMS is received, and will therefore replace the sender’s number (example: BRAND NAME instead of 36001, for example)
Configure the OADC
To activate a new OADC, you must submit a request to the support team.
You can configure one or more OADCs per group.
However, it is essential to meet certain conditions when selecting an OADC to ensure it functions properly:
- It must be between 3 and 11 characters long
- It must not start with the character 0
- It must not contain accented characters
- It must not contain punctuation such as #*$<,>?!, or the period .
- It must not contain Greek characters or any other special characters
- It must not consist entirely of numbers
- A list of prohibited keywords is maintained to limit the use of trademarks
and/or protected terms. OADCs must not contain these keywords
When an SMS containing an OADC is received, the recipient cannot reply to it.
