Introduction
An API service account is a type of account dedicated to applications, enabling them to authenticate and interact securely with our APIs, without resorting to personal user credentials. These accounts can be created directly from our Accessly interface.
Parameterization
To enable the creation of API service accounts, make sure that the "API Permissions" module is enabled in Houston's Accessly section. Once this has been checked, navigate to the "Services" tab in Accessly, then select "NMP by API".
Create an API service account
Launch: Click on the "Add account" button to open the configuration window.
Identifier and Groups: Set a unique identifier for your account and assign it the relevant group(s) via the drop-down menu.
API permissions: Choose the specific permissions to be granted to your account by checking the boxes among the thirty or so options available, to precisely control its access to API functionalities.
Finalization: Validate by clicking "Create". A secure password will be generated; copy it and keep it preciously in a safe place.
To note: You can modify the permissions of your service account at any time using the edit icon next to the account in the list.
