Introduction
Personalisation within a campaign consists of integrating information about the recipient into the content sent to them.
This article explains how to integrate dynamic personalisation into an SMS message.
Adding dynamic personalisation to an SMS
Dynamic personalisation is achieved via the Sendingly interface .
To add dynamic personalisation, users need only to
- Define default content
- for each case of personalisation,
- Click on Add a personalisation case
- Define the conditions for the case (see Checking the conditions)
- Define the content to be displayed for this case
- Click on Confirm
Checking the conditions
Here are the conditions to check:
- The variable to check in the condition ;
- The operator :
- is equal to: =,
- is different from: !=,
- is empty,
- is not empty.
- The value that the variable must check: in the case of empty or non-empty, there is no variable to check, the field is greyed out.
Several conditions can be grouped together using logical ANDs or ORs.
If a recipient meets more than one personalisation condition, the personalised condition is sent first (condition 1, condition 2, etc.).
If a recipient does not meet any conditions, they receive the default case.
Conclusion
Once dynamic personalisation has been added, it is important to check and test the different cases using the Preview and Test tab.
